Jiiva's romantic-action flickVandhan Vendran is currently progressing in Sultan Bathery on the Kerala-Karnataka border. The film is directed by Kannan, an associate of Mani Ratnam. Jiiva plays the role of a struggling boxer who fights hard to achieve his goal while Tapasee plays an architect. The actor has undergone some vigorous training for this film.
Vandhan Vendran takes place in Mumbai, but it is also shot in Chennai and Kerala. An important flashback scene will be shot in Podinayakanur (Madurai) soon. The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures of Boss Engira Baskaran fame. Meanwhile the director is also looking for another actor to play a prominent role in the film. Kishore, Daniel Balaji and Nanda are been considered.
