“I’m simply astonished to hear people say that I could be the next ‘Asin’….it’s indeed a honour to be spoken about like that…,” says Oviya, who has made a brief ‘guest’ appearance in the major film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, which stars Kamal Haasan, Madhavan, Trisha and Sangeetha would be releasing next Friday.
She couldn’t believe her ears when she was asked if she was ready to do a cameo in a Kamal-starrer. She now has ‘Sevanu’ on hand and is sitting on at least 3-6 projects, some of them opposite top stars in Kollywood like Dhanush. She is extremely happy that a regional weekly has referred to her as the ‘next Asin’ for her beauty combined with ‘brilliant acting prowess’.
“I’m equally happy to have had the opportunity to share screen space with Kamal Sir; I was really lucky to have bagged the offer to star in ‘Manmadhan Ambu’. I never thought that I’d get to star against such a doyen like Kamal Sir only in my second film,” gushes Oviya.
