Shankar, 2010's hottest director in India, has been chosen as the CNN IBN Indian of the year Entertainment category.
It is one of the most prestigious awards that has been bestowed on the director.
Shankar, after the stupendous success of Enthiran and its Hindi version Robot had become a cult commercial director whom even Bollywood respects.
Shankar's technical finesse seen in the film was raved about by all directors in India.
Shankar will be in Delhi to receive CNN-IBN award on December 22.
