Shriya's question came related to a case filed by Kerala police against Jayamala. Even though it is not possible for Jayamala to touch the statue of the diety, her claim that she went inside the Karuvarai and touched to worship the diety has cost her legal trouble.
Commenting on this, Shriya has supported Jayamala. Shriya's claim is that "No Lord can be for one particular gender. Lord is for all. If it is true that she has touched and worshiped Lord Aiyappan, I really appreciate her guts and I wish her to do so more number of times"
