Pongal is just four days away and the buzz around the festival biggies have started.
Advance booking has started in Chennai city and suburbs for two Pongal biggies: Dhanush's Aadukalam and Karthi's Siruthai.
Aadukalam booking opened on Sunday, while Siruthai will start from today (Jan 10).
A Multiplex programming personnel said: "Aadukalam has taken a head start and advance booking was brisk and encouraging. There is a good buzz around the film. The advantage in opening advance booking early is that you commit the viewers to buy ticket for a particular film in a season when there is so much competition."
And with Kaavalan nowhere in sight and Siruthai joining the race from today, the early bird advantage has clearly gone to Aadukalam.
Sun Pictures has also managed to get the best of single screens for the film, which will ensure a good opening.
