There is no stopping Rahman. The Oscar-Grammy winner has been nominated for the British Academy of Films and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for original music in Danny Boyle’s ‘127 Hours’. This is the second time he is nominated for the BAFTA.
The Mozart of Madras, who lost out on the Golden Globe award this year to ‘The Social Network’, has been nominated alongside Danny Elfman (‘Alice In Wonderland’), John Powell (‘How To Train Your Dragon’), Hans Zimmer (‘Inception’) and Alexandre Desplat (‘The King’s Speech’).
Last year, Rahman was in competition for his Oscar-winning music in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, and he won the prestigious award. The Danny Boyle-directed movie also fetched him Oscar and Grammy honours.
‘127 Hours’ is a 2010 biographical adventure film produced, co-written and directed by Danny Boyle. The movie stars James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who became trapped by a boulder for more than five days.
