An unidentified youngster created kerfuffle at Ramapuram on the outskirts of Chennai late Monday night when he tried to strike at the house of lyricist-actor Pa Vijay.
He however managed to escape after servants in the house and neighbours raised an alarm. It is said that the robber attempted to loot the house but had to flee mid-way as his act came to light.
He escaped by scaling the compound wall, sources said. The police was informed immediately and they rushed to the spot. A detailed investigation is on, according to circles close to Vijay.
A popular lyricist, Vijay ventured into acting last year with the film ‘Gnabagangal’. He has acted as a hero in the recently-released ‘Ilaingnan’, which has script by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
