Ilayathalapathi Vijay is making some smart political moves, to gain an upper hand over his detractors.
Now that Kaavalan has released and declared a hit, it is payback time.
The star has become even more popular among the masses, as proved by the huge turnout of people every day on the sets of his Velayudham in Pollachi.
They are all urging him to take on the "the forces who were trying to scuttle his political career."
Recently, Vijay has given a hard hitting interview to a leading Tamil publication in which he took on the ruling establishment which was "trying to clip his wings and stop him from entering politics".
Now Vijay has decided to cast his net and "fish in troubled waters of Tamil Nadu politics". Ilayathalapathi will visit the coastal town of Nagapattinam on February 22, to lead "a protest demonstration to condemn the mid-sea killings of Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy."
It clearly means Vijay will be taking on the ruling DMK's Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and the Congress led government at the centre for not preventing such attacks.
Showing his "concern for the poor fishermen" will also make him a hero among the masses.
Vijay's dad SA Chandrasekhar through his fan clubs is planning to mobilise nearly one lakh fans to show their support to Ilayathalapathy at Nagapattinam.
