South India's leading actress Kajal Aggarwal has been a hot topic for discussion lately, but for the wrong reasons!
A household name in the South after the success of Magadheera, the actress commented in a recent interview that Bollywood is where she belongs and she never felt herself as a South Indian actress.
It turned out to be a eyebrow-raiser for many in the South, who say that Kajal is no exception from actresses from the North who came South to get a break and subsequently vanished to Bollywood.
The latest news is that the actress has again made a similar comment during a promo event of her Hindi debut Singham, starring Ajay Devgn. Kajal reportedly said that she never considered herself to be a South Indian actress as she is a North Indian by birth! Sources said that Kollywood and Tollywood are upset with her for making such a statement.
Of course, there is nothing wrong if an actress from the North comes to the South, proves herself to be a leading actress with her charisma and talent and then migrates to Bollywood! This has been the practice for several decades! But in the case of Kajal, she is possibly the first actress from the North to make such comments and after all, what is the point?
