A Malayalee from Kasargod named Jamshad Cethirakath by his parents, Arya currently has three films in the pipeline: Bala's Avan Ivan, Lingusamy's Venghai and Mugamudi.
Three of his recent releases (Madarasapattinam, Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Chikku Bukku) have become blockbusters. Recently Arya made his Tollywood debut as a villain in Allu Arjun's Varudu.
Arya is a truly versatile actor. From Ullam Ketkume to his soon-to-release Avan Ivan, the actor has tried his hand at a wide range of roles. His warm brown eyes and disarming friendly smile are a fitting attribute to the diversity of characters he portrays. An avid sportsperson, Arya spends his free time playing with his team (a group of men in their thirties and Arya has been a part of their team for the past four years!). He has no celebrity airs and he is completely at ease with himself.
