Priyamani may have tasted success with the Ameer-directed Parthuthiveeran, but the actress did not take up many offers in Kollywood and she showed strong preference to Telugu, Malayalam and Bollywood film industries.


Recently there have been reports that the actress made a controversial statement about Tamil cinema and why she is not accepting offers here. According to Priyamani, there is dearth for good cinema in Kollywood and hence she decided to stay away from signing up new ventures.

It may be recalled that the lady received a National award for best actress for her role in the Tamil film Paruthiveeran.
