Popular Malayalam actress Remya Nambeesan is excited by her upcoming film Illagnyan, a period film in which she plays the lead with lyricist Pa. Vijay. Kalaignar Karunanidhi has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film directed by Suresh Krishna (of Annamalai, Basha, Veera fame).

Interestingly, Illagnyan is the 75th script by Karunanidhi to go into production and Suresh Krishna's 50th directorial venture. Camera is handled by B.L. Sanjay while Vidyasagar will compose the music. The star cast includes Khushbu, Vadivelu, Nasser and Suman.

According to Remya, the most difficult task about Illagnyan was its dialouges. "We recorded live and therefore we had to ensure that everything was spot on. In fact, my Tamil has improved after this project," Remya was quoted as saying.
