Arulnidhi who is the grandson of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi and son of Thamizharasu debuted as hero through the film Vamsam. It seems that he will be getting married soon because his parents are hectically in search of a suitable alliance. Now he will be doing the lead role in his second film titled Udhayan.
He while speaking about this film said," My first film is Vamsam. Now my next film is beautifully titled Udhayan. This film is about a Chennai boy’s romantic story with mischievousness. My character in this film is a jolly good one. The role will be a replica of me. Another thing is that I will be very comfortable in this film because Chaplin who had worked as an assistant director in the film Vamsam is directing this film. He knows in and out of me.
Manikanth Kathri who is the son of saxophone exponent Kathri Gopinath is composing the music for this film. Vijay Milton is handling the camera. New face Pranitha is the heroine of the film. Good team. We have started the shooting in a good way. Many are asking me whether I am in a hero form in this area. Yes. Actor Vishal is like my brother. So while speaking, he said," One can easily find out the reception given by the audience to the debut actors in the theatres. But no one passed any negative comments are abused you when I watched Vamsam. That means the audience have accepted you as hero."Sasikumar called and told me." You have good height and weight, do variety of roles." I have not earned a big name but everyone has accepted me.
In the Vikatan magazine review they had mentioned that I should go for special class to learn body language. Because of this I have started going sincerely to dance classes."
