Deepika confirmed for Rajini’s ‘Rana’

Bollywood top ranking actress Deepika Padukone has confirmed that she will be part of the Super Star Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Rana’. Deepika is thrilled and “very excited to be working with a legend and the biggest actor in India”.


Co-producer and technical director of the film, Soundarya Rajinikanth has also authenticated the news and said she “excited to have Deepika Padukone on board”.

Deepika is one of the most wanted and most preferred actresses in India and she had dream debuts in different languages. She debuted with the biggest star of the language at that time.

She started her career in Kannada opposite Upendra with the movie ‘Aishwarya’. She started in Hindi opposite Shahrukh Khan with the film ‘Om Shanti Om’. Now for her first Tamil film she is pairing opposite the biggest star of contemporary Indian cinema, Rajinikanth.

‘Rana’ is a full-length period film and the super star is playing three roles. Pre-production work on the film is on war footing and the film is officially expected go on the floors in March.
