K V Anand is happy about the way Jiiva enacted the role of a press photographer in his forthcoming directorial venture ‘Ko’, which is set to hit the screens soon. “He has done justice to the role,” Anand says.

The filmmaker, who started his career as a photographer and later joined celebrated cinematographer P C Sriram as an assistant, says, “I thought Jiiva would fit the role. And my belief became true.”

He says: “The actor gave us an excellent co-operation. There were some risky sequences. But there was no stopping Jiiva from doing them on his own. Not just Jiiva, everyone has given their best to Ko.”

On the writer duo Suba, with whom he is associated right from his maiden film ‘Kanakanden’, Anand says, “I know them for decades. The friendship started when I was working for a Tamil magazine.”
