Telugu super star Mahesh Babu is coming to Tamil through the film directed by Manirathnam.
Vikram and Vijay are also starring in this film. Initially it was announced that Vishal will also be acting in this film but Mahesh Babu has been signed in the place of Vishal.This film is based on the famous classical historical novel Ponniyin Selvan written by late Kalki. Mahesh Babu while speaking about this said," I met Manirathnam. My dream has been fulfilled now. I am acting in his film."
Through this film he is making entry into Tamil films.
