Actress Genelia has opined that it is very difficult for any actor or actress to make a comeback in films after falling out of favour with the producers and directors.

Genelia, who debuted as ‘Harini’ in Shankar’s ‘Boys’ almost a decade ago, is still going strong in Tamil films with a mega-project ‘Velayudham’ opposite none other than Vijay in her hands at present. That the film also has Hansika Motwani as the other heroine hasn’t had any negative on her, says Genelia.

So far, Genelia has successfully managed to juggle her Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film careers perfectly. She is also starring in the trilingual ‘Urumi’, which is being made in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi by Santosh Sivan. The multi-starrer film has Prithviraj, Prabudeva, Vidya Balan, Tabu and many others and is eagerly awaited by movie-goers.

“Life in films is not a cakewalk but full of struggle. Only those who are full of perseverance and are ready to slug it out can sustain their career in films. I have made many changes in my persona to stay here. I hate attending too many late-night parties but I love being in films.

“I don’t have the backing of a godfather or a patron but have to do everything on my own and as such, I can’t afford a lean patch. I have learnt to be extremely careful in dealing with a variety of personalities here. If one is not careful, he or she might run into lot of troubles,” concludes Genelia.
