The workaholic that he is, director Selvaraghavan is back to work. Hardly two weeks after his marriage to Gitanjali, who worked as an assistant director with him, Selvaa has already begun the remaining work of ‘Irandaam Ulagam’. The film stars Dhanush in the lead. Andrea Jermaiah, who starred in Selvaa’s ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ last year and was cast opposite Dhanush, is now out of it.
While nobody knows as to where Selvaa had been to celebrate his ‘honeymoon’ with Gitanjali in the intervening time, the mercurial director has got back to his work. Readers might recall that Selvaa was to direct ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan in his ‘Viswaroopam’ but walked out of it differences cropped up between him and the actor-par-excellence.
The latest info is that the leggy lass Anushka has been cast opposite Aarya in Selvaraghavan’s new film which is likely to go to the floors soon. Selvaa has roped in Anushka, a leading actress in both Tamil and Telugu films, apparently with the Telugu market in mind. Aushka has just had her critically acclaimed ‘Deivathirumagal’ releasing last week.
Knowing Selvaa’s ways of taking his own time to complete his projects, it remains to be seen how the busy-bee Anushka gives him bulk dates spanning over close to an year (the time Selvaa usually takes to complete a film). Selvaa is planning his Aarya-Anushka starrer as a short-term venture and might complete it sooner than others might think, it is said.
