Distributor-turned-producer Udhayanidhi is debuting as hero in the film ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’. The film is being directed by Rajesh, whose earlier films in ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Bass Engira Baskaran’ had been mass entertainers and successful ventures at the box-office. The bonding that arose between Rajesh and Udhayanidhi, who produced ‘BEB’, resulted in Rajesh casting him as hero in ‘OKOK’.

Udhayanidhi couldn’t find the heroine, though, to star opposite him. After trying the likes of Nayantara, Trisha and Shriya Saran, he had to finally settle for Hansika. As it would have it, Hansika has had a terrible debut in Tamil with both her films in ‘Maappillai’ and ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ turning out to be not so successful ventures. The pretty Hansika earnestly hopes ‘OKOK’ would be her lucky mascot.

Hansika plays an air-hostess in the film who falls in love with Udhayanidhi but develops some ‘serious misunderstanding’ with him. In order to irritate Hansika, Udhayanidhi teases her by making her believe that he has fallen for another good-looking girl, played by Sneha. As readers are aware, Sneha has been out of work for more than a year after the unforgettable ‘Bhavani IPS’ effort.

Sneha landed this role only after Tamannaah, Namitha and others refused to play the role citing various reasons. She is said to have been signed up for a huge fee, which is usually not given to her.
