Sasikumar speaks on Easan

Actor, director, producer, distributor and exhibitor Sasikumar the man who changed Tamil cinema with his path breaking critically acclaimed Subramaniapuram (2008) is back. His second directorial venture Easan under his home banner Company Productions is releasing this Friday.

Sasi made a difference to filmmaking in Kollywood with just three films. In his debut film Subramaniapuram he was actor, director and producer. The film was a trendsetter of sorts as he made the Made in Madurai Masala Mix popular with the new generation of filmmakers. It was followed by Pandiraj directed award winning Pasanga (2009), a children film he produced.

The same year he acted in Nadodigal (2009), where he played hero, with the film being directed by his buddy Samuthirakanni, who debuted as villain in Subramaniapuram.
Nadodigal was a super hit again a trendsetter for making friendship theme popular in Tamil films. Now in Easan there is a role reversal as Samuthirakani turns hero and Sasikumar goes behind the camera and directs.
