Salman Khan may be the bad boy for his connections with Srilankan government family accused of Tamil genocide. His patronage of the recent IIFA Awards ceremony in Colombo invited the wrath of South Indian film industry and he was even threatened with a ban.
But all seems to have been forgotten and reports say that south Indian film makers are queuing up outside Salman’s house to acquire the Tamil and Telugu remake rights if his recent Hindi blockbuster film ‘Dabangg’.
Confirming the reports, the producer of the film Arbaazz Khan, the brother of Salman Khan, has said that the negotiations are on but he would still retain the creative control of the movie even when it is made in south Indian languages. That's a point to ponder for the remake enthusiasts.
While the Tamil hero of the remake is not confirmed yet, our sources from Hyderabad say that Pawan Kalyan is certain to do it in Telugu apart from producing it under his own banner. Salman Khan who resurrected his slumping career with the remake of Vijay starrer 'Pokkiri' is currently acting in the remake of Dhanush starrer 'Uthamaputhiran'.
