Samantha while speaking to the media said," Though my mother hails from Kerala and my father is from Andhra, I don’t know Malayalam or Telugu. I will speak only Tamil in my house. I studied In Stella Maris College in Chennai. I have proved that one can reach to great heights in the first film itself. I am an example to this. Though my debut film was Bana Kathadi, My Telugu Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya took me to great heights.
