A Sivashankar has produced the film Padhinaaru under the banner Fashion Movie Makers. Kalaipuli S Dhanu is releasing this film under the banner V Creations.
T Sabapathy who had directed films like Bharathan, Sundarapurushan, V I P and Punnagai Poove is directing this film.
Shiva who had acted in Chennai 28, Saroja, Tamizh Padam and Va is doing the male lead role in this film. Madhushalini is pairing with him.
There are four songs and one theme music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is important to note that after listening to the story, Yuvan Shankar Raja never spoke about his salary.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s elder brother Karthik Raja has sung a song. This is the first time Karthi Raja has sung a song for Yuvan Shankar Raja. The other songs are sung by Hariharan, Shreya Ghosal and Srinivasan. Yuvan Shankar Raja has also sung a song.
Sneghan and Karthik Netha have penned the lyrics. R K Mahalingam has penned the dialogues.
Art director Boopathy has selected the locations in Chennai, Theni and Kodaikanal where the story happens. Arurdoss has handled the camera very effectively. G Ramarao has edited this film lively.
The story happens with the backdrop of village and city at various periods.
Director says that this film depict the mentality of lovers in the age groups of 16 to 25.
