Swathi, the girl who charmed everyone with her cute looks and mature performance in Subramaniapuram, was expected to become one of the top runners in Kollywood. But somehow she couldn’t make it big but she hasn’t given up trying hard to be in the reckoning. The girl from Keral is now relying heavily on Samuthirakani's Porali to make a strong comeback in Tamil movies.

Though she is playing one of the five leads in the film, her character would give her an opportunity to impress the audiences, the sources say. Director Samuthirakani has recently revealed that Swathi plays a bubbly slum dweller in the film. And yes, she speaks the local Tamil with all its nuances intact.

Porali is said to be the story of five people. The film revolves around Sasikumar, Allari Naresh, Swathi, Vasundhara and another girl.

Samuthirakani, who had a great success in Nadodigal, is expecting the same result with his Porali even as Swathi is confident of making a comeback.
