Leading producer and distributor Kalaipuli S Thanu, has taken over the theatrical rights of the forthcoming romantic Pathinaru.
The film produced by Passion Movie Makers has Mirchi Shiva and Madhushalini in the lead and is directed by D Sabapathy.
Pathinaru was lying in the cans for some time. It is said to be a romantic movie with a great twist.
Mirchi Shiva after the disastrous VA-Quarter Cutting needs a hit badly. Pathinaru is the ideal vehicle as for the first time Shiva would be doing a full length romantic role and singing duets on screen.
One of the major highlights of Pathinaru will be the music of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Recently posters of Yuvan were put up all over the city, at the time of the film's audio launch.
For the first time Karthik Raja will be singing for his younger brother Yuvan in the film.
Meanwhile, Kalaipuli Thanu is planning to release it big all over Tamil Nadu on January 28.
Says Thanu: "I think there is a lot of freshness in Pathinaru, which is sure going to work with today's audiences."
Thanu and producer Shivasankar are confident about their project that they are holding a press show, before the release of the film.
