Actor Vijay, who is shooting for Velayutham, took a break from his hectic schedule and has spoken to leading Tamil news daily and has given clear and concise answer to every question that has been surrounding him. When asked about the problems faced during Kaavalan’s release, he observed that even in the past, there have been problems when his movie was to be released but the problems before Kaavalan release was unexpected and shocking. But he is now all smiles as he said that the reception the film has received has made him forget all the problems.

He makes it clear that there is no motive for his father meeting AIADMK Supremo Jayalalitha apart from the fact that he did not want to miss a chance to have a meeting with the ex-chief minister. Vijay, having said that, made it clear that he will not be campaigning for any political party.

About his entry to politics, Vijay said that his only aim is to do good to the people who have given him this success and stardom when he entered the field as a normal actor. He also says that he is right now concentrating on making good films and that it is not the right time for his political entry. About walking out of 3 Idiots remake, Vijay said that he had to change his look for that film and he cannot do that as he is shooting in a different look for Velayutham now. He also stresses that he and Shankar parted with no hard feelings and with understanding.
