Victory Venkatesh has given his green signal to director Teja’s Savitri long back, but the film did not begin yet as the makers could not find a suitable lead lady for the title role. However, latest reports suggest that South Indian beauty Asin is likely to star opposite Venkatesh in Savitri. If this happens, it would be the second time Asin teams up with Venky. They have earlier paired up in Gharshana.
It is also said that Nayantara was approached for the role, but she declined the offer due to personal reasons. Later, Trisha was also considered, but not approached by the makers. Venkatesh is expected to play a paraplegic in Savitri, which is similar to Hrithik Roshan’s character in Guzaarish. Savitri is produced by D. Suresh Babu under the banner of Suresh Productions.
