You may be able to hum many songs from his earlier films. But do not look for a music director's name in the credits of Gautham Vasudev Menon's forthcoming release 'Nadunisi Naaygal'. There won't be any, for the reason that it is going to be a movie without songs or background score.

"A pacy narration and gripping storyline are the only things a thriller needs. Music and background score are dispensable in such a movie," the director who has given us musical hits like 'Minnalae, Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, Varanam Aayiram' and 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya', points out.

Says the acclaimed director, "I have been wanting to make a psycho thriller for a long time. My Vettiayadu Vilayadu had traces of the genre. Nadunisi Naaygal will be a gripping thriller."

Playing the lead role are Veera, who has been his associate of for several years and Sameera Reddy. Spilling some beans about the movie, Gautham says, "I met a psychiatrist once, who narrated the story of a mentally-challenged patient. It was a moving story which inspired me to pen a script that would bring the audience to the edge of their seats."
