Mahesh, who made a dream debut as hero in last year’s critically-acclaimed and highly successful ‘Angaadi Theru’, is not a busy bee nowadays and is having just a solitary film on hand, quite opposite to Anjali (his heroine in ‘Angaadi Theru), who is having a jolly time in Kollywood with many offers on hand.
The soft-spoken Mahesh, who hails from a very ordinary background, hadn’t any godfather to promote him when he debuted in Vasanthabalan’s ‘Angaadi Theru’. After the film became a hit and came to be liked by viewers and the print and television media, Mahesh got many offers to star in new films but couldn’t make up his mind at that time as to which one(s) to accept and which one(s) to refuse.
As a result, he agreed to star in only one film which ironically is directed by a debutant director. Titled as ‘Konjam Sirippu, Konjam Kobam’, the film hasn’t been moving ahead rapidly as it appears to have hit some bottleneck. As ill-luck would have it, Mahesh has reportedly committed in writing that he won’t sign up or take up other movie offers before completing this film!
