Actor, director and producer Sasikumar is acting in a Malayalam movie.
He will be doing a major role in hit Malayalam director Johnny Antony's new film titled Masters. Hot and happening Prithviraj is the hero of the movie. Sasi and Prithvi will appear as classmates.
The story is about how two college friends get into different professions after studies. They use their friendship for social commitments. Sasi Kumar says that the novelty and approach of the theme made him agree to do the film.
Sasi Kumar and his best buddy Samudrakani have always been fascinated by Malayalam films and audiences reaction in Kerala to their Tamil films.
Remember Sasikumar's debut film Subramaniapuram was a super hit in Kerala. In an earlier interview Sasi had remarked: "I saw Subramaniapuram in a Kerala theatre and the audiences reaction in certain scenes floored me."
Samudrakani has recently done a good role in Mohanlal's Malayalam film Shikar, as a Telugu Naxalite leader and now Sasi is also making his entry into Malayalam cinema as an actor. After Sasikumar directed Easan in which Samudrakani rocked as the investigative cop, they are now doing a role reversal.
Sasikumar is playing hero in Samuthirakani directed Poraali. It traces the life of a rebel who challenges the norms in society, and the consequences he has to undergo. Allari Naresh and Ganja Karuppu will play prominent roles in the film.
Sasi who starting Poraali in March will complete the film by May and then move over to Johnny Antony's Masters.
