Rana is special project for Rajnikanth: Ravikumar

Even before its launch, Superstar's Rana has created a lot of curiosity among the media and audiences. The Rana team, including heroine Deepika Padukone, director K.S. Ravikumar, technical director Soundarya Rajinikanth, cinematographer Rathnavelu and others took part in a press meet recently.

"I am really proud and happy that I have got the opportunity to work with Ravikumar, Rajni and such a huge team. In fact this is my debut in Tamil and I feed really honoured," an excited Deepika Padukone said.

According to director Ravikumar, Rana is story of a king who lived in the 17th century. The film will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. Soundarya Rajinikanth, the technical director of the film, will supervise all the graphics works along with Charles Darby of Eyeqube Studios. Sonu Sood of Dabangg fame will play the main villain.

"Rana is a special project for Superstar Rajinikanth. He was highly involved in all the pre-production activities right from day one," he revealed.

The technical team consists of Rajeevan (art director), A.R. Rahman (music), Anthony (editing) and S. Ramakrishnan (dialogues).
