Kollywood has been developing a new style mantra now. We’ve been getting a new league of filmmakers, who didn’t work as assistant directors. Recently it was Kulandhai Vellappan, who made his debut directorial with the film ‘Aanmai Thavarel’. Now it’s the turn of newcomer Nelson, who takes off with a big-budgeted action-thriller ‘Vettai Mannan’ that is produced by SS Chakravarthy of Nic Arts.
Nelson happens to be a close pal of Silambarasan, but that wasn’t the single reason why the actor accepted his offer. The filmmaker had an overpowering script that allowed him to shoot a 4-minute teaser. Soon as producer SS Chakravarthy saw them, he was awe-stricken and instantly asked to continue the shooting.
