Arya has joined the shoot of Santosh Sivan's trilingual in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi- Urumi, a multi-starrer.
It will be Arya's first Malayalam film. The buzz is that he has replaced Vikram who had earlier promised to do a cameo, but at the last moment could not adjust his dates.
Urumi is a period drama set in the 17th century and has Prithviraj in the lead along with an array of stars like Prabhu Deva, Genelia, Nithya Menon, Amol Gupte, Jagathy Sreekumar and special appearances by Tabu and Vidya Balan.
The first schedule of Urumi has been completed at the picturesque Malshej Ghats in Maharashtra.
Now the last schedule of the shooting is taking place in coastal Mangalore and surrounding forest areas near Udupi.
Arya will take off from Bala's Avan Ivan shooting in Theni, and fly to Mangalore. Said Arya: "Urumi is one of the biggest projects in Indian cinema at the moment. Santosh Sivan is a close friend of mine and a famous cinematographer and director of international repute. I'm doing this cameo and has given three days to complete it."
