The ‘Aadukalam’ audio-launch, held last week in the city, witnessed a huge turnout of stars, directors and producers. It wasn’t surprising, though, considering that Sun Pictures had taken up the distribution of the film directed by Vetrimaran (remember ‘Polladhavan’?) and starring Dhanush and newcomer Tapsee in the lead.
Actor Suriya made a surprising revelation when he openly declared that he was a great fan of Dhanush’s ‘casual’ acting. “Most of you would be surprised to know that I’m actually a fan of Dhanush…I love the way he casually gets into and out of all his characters in films,” said Suriya amid thunderous applause from the capacity-crowd.
Director Shankar too lavished praise on Dhanush and said that with the release of each of his film(s), the latter was compelling him to pen a script ‘especially’ for him and said days are not far when he would be directing the son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth. The next day, Dhanush reportedly met Shankar at his office and thanked him for having said so.
