‘Nanban’ is directed by Kollywood super director S Shankar . The film is a Hindi remake of 3 idiots that was that smashed all records in Hindi cinema. Now when the shooting of ‘Nanban’ was on in Chennai yesterday at a college campus suddenly a local gang came to the shooting spot and attacked the set properties. Things came under control only after the police came in say our source close to Shankar.
“When Nanban shoot was on a gang of local residents came to the spot to have a glimpse of Vijay and others. The actor and director accepted to their demand and spent some time with them but after sometime when they were asked to leave the gang refused to allow the film’s shoot and following which there was chaos. This resulted in a verbal duel which turned into a messy fight. The mob damaged some of the set properties,” the sources add.
“And when things went totally out of control police were to come in. Following police intervention there was peace and the shooting took place peacefully thereafter. Now the shooting was on with police protection’’ say our sources.
Nanban has Vijay, Srikanth and Jeeva in the lead.
