Nanban shooting: Local Gang attacks
‘Nanban’ is directed by Kollywood super director S Shankar . The film is a Hindi remake of 3 idiots that was that smashed all records in Hindi cinema. Now when the shooting of ‘Nanban’ was on in Chennai yesterday at a college campus suddenly a local gang came to the shooting spot and attacked the set properties. Things came under control only after the police came in say our source close to Shankar.

Ileana reduced her salary by Rs 1 Crore
Popular Telugu actress Ileana is pairing with Vijay in the film Nanban directed by Shankar. This film is the remake of the super hit Hindi film Three Idiots. Since her films were great hits in Telugu, she increased her salary from Rs 1 Crore to Rs 1 ½ Crores.

Vijay will no kiss in Nanban: Ileana
Shankar had earlier said that he would not change Nanban script to the large extent. He hinted that he would make minor modifications to suit the taste of the Tamil audience. The fans were eagerly waiting to know whether the director would shoot a lip-lock scene between the lead stars or not, as 3 Idiots had a kissing scene in the climax. Actress Anuya is excited about being a part of Shankar's multistarrer Nanban (remake of Aamir Khan's Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots). Anuya, who earlier appeared in Siva Manasula Sakthi and Madurai Sambavam, is confident that her role in Nanban will elevate her position in Kollywood. Suriya will be doing the lead role in Shankar next

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is done with shooting for 'Jeyam' Raja's Velayudham and news is that the entire movie's shooting has been wrapped up. A couple of patch up shots are what is left and Velayudham will go to the post production stage within a couple of days. Vijay has now joined Shankar's Nanban cast and crew at a college in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) where its Hindi original 3 Idiots was filmed.
