There is a big buzz in the trade circles that the film will surely release for the big Vinayaka Chathurthi and Ramzan weekend.
The producer of the film Dhayanidhi Alagiri tweeted : 'Release date for Mankatha will be announced on Monday! Sorry for the delay. But its releasing very soon'.
The overseas trade in anticipation of its release worldwide is going to subtitle the film in English.
Venkat Prabhu, the director of the film says that the film is getting ready to be censored next week after which an official announcement will be made of the release date.
The promotions for the film will start from next week as per sources close to the producers.
