Pongal 2010 is just 9 days away (January 14), and as of now four films have confirmed their release.
They are Dhanush's Aadukalam (U), Ilangian (U), Kaavalan & Siruthai (yet to be censored).
Two more little known films: Sollitharava and Karutha Kannan Rekala Race are trying to get the left over screens.
Outside of Chennai city, all the screens have been booked well in advance.
The battle for the screens is getting interesting as it is basically between Aadukalam and Siruthai, with Ilangian trying to squeeze in to the fray.
Kaavalan is not announcing proper release date and is creating confusion in the already heated market.
In all main stations earlier releases will stop being screened, to accommodate the Pongal releases.
Rajinikanth's Enthiran which will be celebrating its 100 days run on January 8, will exit. Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu is also on the exit list for theatres outside Chennai city.
